We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Advisor who has the experience, commitment and the drive to be an employee advocate. We want an HR professional to help support the company’s culture and climate in which people have the competency, concern and commitment to serve customers well.
As an experienced business partner and advisor, the Senior Human Resources Advisor will work closely with the leadership team and become deeply knowledgeable about the business and the design of work in which people contribute and succeed.
This role under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager will play a key role as change champion by constantly assessing the effectiveness of the HR function according to our strategy and best practices.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this generalist role will be accountable for providing a variety of these key functions supporting employees in Canada, the US and Europe.
As an employee advocate, business partner and advisor you will:
· Help in the design of work positions, drive the recruiting process and ensure appropriate rewards and compensation structure
· Foster effective communication and support our employee development process
· Ensure that the company is successful in measuring critical elements of the strategy
Specific accountabilities include:
· Recruitment and Selection – create job postings/advertisements, receive, screen and track resumes, conduct initial telephone interviews, schedule interviews, conduct on-site and skype behavioural based interviews along with business partners and complete reference checks and conduct orientation; NOTE: As we are growing aggressively, this will be a large component of the role
· Compensation – ensuring internal and external pay equity by completing salary surveys for salary competitiveness, providing support for the job evaluation system, ensuring variable compensation plans are relevant and assist in their ongoing evaluation and processing
· Benefits – ensuring a competitive benefit plan that supports the company’s culture and values in all countries and benchmarking against best practices
· Employee Relations – maintaining a high level of integration with employees and the leadership team to assist in all areas of employee relations and development
· Rewards and Recognition – assist in supporting ongoing programs while assisting in the development and introduction of new programs
· Employee Development – facilitating all aspects of employee development with our leaders and employees
What we are looking for………..
· Experienced Human Resources professional with post-secondary education who has the energy and drive to grow with the company (CHRP designation not critical but preferred)
· Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills and the ability to build and develop relationships with everyone in the organization
· Strong organization skills - we need someone who can multi-task in an extremely fast-paced and hectic environment without compromising attention to detail
· Above average hands on working experience with Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience in international HR practices is a definite asset as is knowledge of all pertinent employment legislations
