As the Associate Director, Development Communications you will be a key member of the Communications & Public Affairs department. You will contribute to the mission by providing strategic direction, counsel and support to the External portfolio in managing communications that will enhance the image and perceptions of Western; instill pride in the University among Western's donors and potential donors worldwide; and inspire giving. You will play a critical role in helping the Development team achieve the goals and objectives set out in the External Strategic Plan.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree and has spent at least five years in a corporate or university communications field, managing multiple projects in a busy fast-paced environment.  You have a strong record as a dynamic leader with solid relationship management skills and a well-defined sense of diplomacy. Focused and dedicated, you have experience building and fostering stakeholder relationships and the ability to communicate and uphold the shared vision and goals of a highly professional team.
