Accounts Payable

Our client, a large defense manufacturer in LONDON, ONTARIO is looking for a Contractor in Accounts Payable to join their team. This is a 1 year contract to start.

This role pays $16-19/hr

Required Qualifications
• University Degree (Finance discipline)
• Minimum 1-2 years related work experience
• Exceptional communication, organization and prioritization skills
• Strong teamwork and customer service abilities
• Ability to identify, understand and exceed internal and external customer expectations
• Must be able to project a high level of professionalism at all times
• Ability to multi task and complete tasks under pressure

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintaining and updating A/P policies & procedures
• Perform monthly internal audits to ensure compliance with A/P policies & procedures
• Support Accounts Payable audit requirements
• Financial Point of Contact for cheque requisitions
• Maintain CMR database
• Process invoices including matching to purchase orders
• Collaborate with SCM and suppliers to correct pricing and quantity variances
• Research and resolve payment issues for suppliers
• Prepare monthly invoice aging reports for internal distribution
• Financial Point of Contact with Xerox regarding invoice imaging


Preferred Qualifications
• Intermediate skill level for Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Experience with Oracle ERP
• System Previous experience in Accounts Payable
• Working towards Accounting Designation (CPA)

Due to the nature of the position, successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, including, but not limited to, the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance to secret level.
