Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager for an internationally known facility in Windsor. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can provide technical support and processes with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure world class manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

Managing the maintenance and engineering department in a 3 shift production environment that includes both salary and hourly team members (supervisors/skilled trades)

Improving the flow of existing processes and establishing best practices

Ensuring standards and Lean Manufacturing principles are applied consistently within plant and organization

Partnering with the Management to establish capital plans for current equipment and future equipment requirements that support manufacturing

Ensuring new equipment from Project Engineering meets legislative and process required standards for acceptance, technically and for rate (units per hour)

Participating and supporting immediate closure of equipment issues related to equipment uptime and operation

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree and a Professional Engineer license (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical)

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and solve problems in an urgent manner

5-10+ years of technical supervisory/management experience of medium to large teams in a large manufacturing facility

Experience working in a zero downtime environment, with cross functional teams

Total Productive Maintenance, precision equipment and automation

Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
