Our client is not seeking just another sales person – they want to tap into your strong interpersonal, relationship-building skills. Growers need someone they can trust with a deep understanding of agricultural practices from planning to market delivery. Our client is looking for an energetic representative to develop strategic partnerships in Southern Ontario territory (Chatam-kent, Windsor, London and Sarnia)

 

Your focus will be on large-acre growers in a targeted geography with diverse crops and cropping practices. Your broad agribusiness acumen and knowledge is key to understanding the challenges and business decisions your growers face on a daily basis. 

 

Good to Have's: 

 

• 5 years’ experience in agri-business industry, or related role.
• CCA or CCSC would be an asset 
• Agronomic knowledge of the crops grown in the geographic area
• First-hand knowledge of farming operations 
• Sales and market knowledge of general trends in Canadian agriculture, 
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to effectively develop trusted relationships internally and externally 
• Selling skills, negotiation skills, and decision-making ability needed to gain maximum sales from customers 
• General understanding of finance and budgeting process 
• Awareness of new and existing technologies
