POSITION:
Temporary Early Childhood Educators

RATE OF PAY:
$20.70 per hour plus 4% vacation pay 

HOURS OF WORK:
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

EXPIRY: 2017 September 22


LOCATIONS:
On-call supply work in FDK programs in elementary schools across the Thames Valley District School Board (schools are located in the City of London, Middlesex County, Elgin County and Oxford County).

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Thames Valley District School Board is currently recruiting Temporary (On-call/Supply) Early Childhood Educators to work within the Full Day Kindergarten Program across the district in both English and French Immersion elementary schools. The successful candidates will be placed on a temporary employee list (supply list) to perform work on an "on-call" basis and occasionally in long term assignments.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: (Proof of educational qualifications and **CECE registration must be included with the online application in order to be considered for this position).
** proof that CECE registration is in progress can also be provided.

Applicants must possess a completed two (2) year ECE College Diploma or completed ECE Fast Track Diploma with proof of prior completed post-secondary Diploma or equivalent Degree program with a specialization in early childhood studies (as recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators):
  • Current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following would be an asset:
  • ELECT document;
  • Ministry of Education's Full Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program
  • The Kindergarten Program, 2016
  • How Does Learning Happen
