Job Description

We are a company in the Automotive sector in the London area in search of a Program Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of projects assuring customer milestones;
  • Issue and analyze request for quotations (RFQs) from approved suppliers and customers to support production and pre-production requirements i.e. - components, process materials, packaging, component tooling, etc;
  • Lead sourcing decisions: negotiate price, delivery and payment terms;
  • Initiate and monitor Supplier and Customer APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), Vendor production readiness review and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions on new award programs;
  • Work with suppliers, customers, managers, project teams to drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) and cost reductions;
  • Coordinate with all functional areas and management in order to achieve all KPI targets established for the projects;
  • Manage cost reductions, engineering changes and key supplier and customers meetings/activities;
  • Actively participate and manage program planning and status meetings;
  • Arbitrate any conflicts with the customer and supplier related with technical and/or financial issues;
  • Track supplier capacity and loading as required
Knowledge, Skills & Education:
  • High level of leadership, communication, teamwork and problem solving skills;
  • Good understanding of APQP and Stage Gate program management techniques;
  • Ability to successfully manage a cross-functional team;
  • Solid understanding of stamping products, processes and procedures; 
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering and/or Management
  • Program Management Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry is an asset
