Role Overview:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will ensure that equipment necessary to deliver the technology to the marketplace is manufactured and delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost effective manner. This role will include management responsibility for 10+ direct reports supporting the manufacturing output, facilities and H&S
Job Duties & Core Responsibilities:
You will oversee areas of manufacturing such as safety, planning, cost, efficiency, quality and customer service and set overall manufacturing goals; monitor and report on plant performance and optimization of plant resources
- Additionally you will provide training, guidance and supervision to direct reports to ensure correct knowledge transfer and best practice in manufacturing areas.
- Manage all capital equipment installation, participate in troubleshooting production problems, work with manufacturing to carry out production objectives with cost reduction initiatives
- Act as a direct liaison to customers and suppliers on processes, improvements, and relationships
- Drive continuous process improvements for new product launches and existing process improvement
- Be responsible for document review and approval towards procedures, processes and equipment
Qualifications, Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Engineering with 5+ years’ experience, or engineering diploma with 7+ years of process engineering
- 5+ Years of die cast / injection / foundry experience + knowledge in modern manufacturing systems
- Demonstrate creative problem solving, sound project management skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment that includes employee performance & engagement, mentoring & coaching while bringing sound knowledge of OHSA
- Demonstrate good communication, organizational skills and strong leadership abilities
- Microsoft Office Professional
- Ability to Travel
