Allen Professional Search, London office, is currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer for one of our clients, a well established manufacturer of automated processing equipment with a global customer base  located in London, Ontario. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary range 60-70K plus commission and travel allowance.

The successful incumbent will promote new generation products to existing customer base while driving the growth of new markets by identifying and developing relationships with key contacts. You will solidify leads by delivering sales presentations that demonstrate benefits and application options and assist in estimating costs of the design, installation, servicing and maintenance of equipment. In addition you will prepare and administer sales contracts, assist with design aspects, work on developing the R&D side of the business and consult with clients to provide ongoing support, resolve product and service related problems.

Other responsibilities include:

·       Assess customer needs and resources and recommend appropriate solutions

·       Provide technical input into product design where application changes are needed to meet customer requirements

·       Trouble shoot technical problems

·       Assist with onsite installation, servicing and maintenance of equipment after commissioning

·       Work closely with design engineers and fabrication department to ensure manufacturing feasibility

Specific requirements:

·       Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering 

·       3+ years proven sales engineering experience with strong technical aptitude

·       Significant experience with automated processing equipment, robotics, mechatronics,  conveyors, packaging, material handling

·       Strong business development with examples of strategic initiatives

·       Read and interpret blueprints

·       Ability to work with CAD and/or Solid Works

·       Willing to travel locally and internationally
