Renaissance Personnel along with our valued client in Chatham, is seeking a Front of House Manager to over see and coordinate the planning, organizing and leadership necessary to achieve guest service goals in the taproom of their busy brewery.  The manager must be customer focused, experienced in a restaurant/bar/taproom environment and have exceptional interpersonal, management, planning and leading taproom events and private functions as the main contact with the public. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all front of house activities
• Maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• Manager and mentor taproom staff
• Help develop and update taproom standard operating procedures (SOP's)
• Ensure all staff understand the taproom SOP's and adhere to them
• Provide timely updates to ownership, including any problems, issues or potential improvements to tapeoom staffing and processes (at minimum weekly)
• Schedule all taproom staff and ensure all shifts are adequately and appropriately staffed
• Plan ahead to ensure taproom inventory and supplies are adequately stocked at all times 
• Be the main point for on-site special events, including public events, private functions and tours
• Update and maintain POS terminals
• Oversee the updating and publication of all menus, boards and information sheets on a daily basis
• Comply with all federal, municipal and provincial laws and regulations
• Ensure all end of day processes are followed 
• Fill various roles as needed to ensure guest service standards are met 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in management or a business-related field preferred
• Three to fice year' experience working in the service industry at a management level (brewery or taproom experience an asset, but not essential)
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must hold valid Smart Serve with Retail certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and management skills 
• Knowledge of beer and brewing processes is preferred 
• Good math skills, computer skills and ability to use a POS system
• Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; able to work flexible hours including working nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and able to lift 50L kegs (up to 60kg) 
• Shift work and weekend work 

Salary and Benefits:

• This is a full-time position.
