On behalf of our client, Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a Tool and Mold facility in Windsor, Ontario.
 
·     Direct and  monitor performance of all accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, Payroll 
·     Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements
·     Complete weekly reconciliation of the bank accounts where applicable 
·     Prepare and develop the annual Budget with input from operations, and participate in annual budget review meeting 
·     Prepare the year end audit file, liaising with external auditors 
·     Financial statements, review of weekly operational metrics and variance analysis 
·     Make recommendations regarding accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures 
·     Oversee the Accounting department, reporting directly to the Owners of the organization
·     Liaison with banks
 
Minimum Education And/or Designation Requirements: 
·     Must possess a post-secondary degree in business or accounting, or possess equivalent experience 
·     Accounting designation (C.A., C.M.A., C.G.A) preferred 
 
Minimum Work Experience Required :
·     Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and 2 years’ in a supervisory capacity  
·     Experience with Simply Accounting, ERP system, MS Word, Excel, Project, and Acc Pac 
·     Familiar with ISO accreditation
·     Familiar with Customs and Border crossing programs like CT PAT, PIP and EDC
