TransForm Automotive L.L.C., is an advanced metal-forming manufacturer of precision powertrain & engine components utilizing advanced proprietary stamping, machining, laser-welding and assembly processes.  TransForm Automotive L.L.C., a division of Means Industries, has two manufacturing facilities in Sterling Heights, a new manufacturing facility in Shelby Township, Michigan and a fourth in London, Ontario, Canada.  We are owned by AMSTED International, based in Chicago, Illinois.   AMSTED Industries is a diversified manufacturer of industrial components serving the railroad, vehicular, construction and building markets.

Shelby Township & Sterling Heights Michigan are actively seeking self-motivated Maintenance Electricians for the Midnight Shift (11PM – 7AM) & Afternoon Shift (3PM – 11PM) to maintain production machinery, complete preventive maintenance and assist in improvement projects. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
• Repair and Maintenance of building, presses, CNC, conveyors, and other equipment throughout plant
• Performs adjustment, repairs, or replacements on motors, controls, and other electric equipment. 
• Responsible for all PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment
• Required to follow all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedure, work order procedures
• Help maintain a safe working environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Three years minimum  experience as Maintenance Electrician
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical control systems and troubleshooting and programming PLCs, Siemens and Allen-Bradley
• Knowledge of pneumatics, lubrication and  hydraulics circuits
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication schematics
