Job Description
Randstad Engineering has partnered with a leading food manufacturer in Chatham for a Production Supervisor. If you are interested in working for a Global organization with great opportunity for advancement this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
This position is responsible for operations, maintenance, planning and efficiencies of operating all lines in the production departments in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Communicate production schedules and requirements to production teams on a daily basis.
Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and encourage staff participation.
Oversee completion/improvement process of sanitation schedule, PMs, during your shift.
Council / discipline employees as needed.
Follow-up with maintenance personnel on the off shift for production related repairs.
Evaluate performance and behavior of individuals including agency, probationary and full-time employees.
SAP entries to assist with inventory accuracy.
Qualifications include:
College Diploma/Associates Degree in Food Science, Production Management or Business Administration
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a food industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs
SAP experience an asset
Must be available for 12 hr shift – availability for days and nights is required ( rotation yet to be decided)
26 - 29/hour
Paid overtime after 40 hours
