Industrial Goods Sales Manager – Based in London, Ontario
Natra Chocolate America – London, ON
Position Description
The primary role of the Industrial Goods Sales Manager is to solicit potential customers and travel to specific customer site locations to present the benefits of conventional, organic and fair trade cocoa raw ingredient products. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching new sales opportunities and demonstrating the technical aspects of selling cocoa products, and closing the sale with the customer.  One should be goal-oriented, competitive, and persuasive and have the ability to work individually and in a team environment.  Along with sales responsibilities, the industrial goods sales manager is responsible for creating sales reports, maintaining files and reviewing competitor's products in comparison to Natra Chocolate America’s products to have a competitive edge.


Requirements
• Post-secondary education in international business or commerce
• Minimum 5+ years of technical sales experience in cocoa derivatives with North American and Latin America food companies. Experience and understanding of food and raw ingredient manufacturing (an asset)
• Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, external authorities and internal departments
• Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to conduct high level technical customer presentations to large groups
• Able to develop new sales customers, while maintaining established key accounts
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Comfortable working in different customer environments
• Knowledge of Spanish or French (an asset)
• Experience and understanding of food and raw ingredient manufacturing (an asset)

Working Conditions
• Ability to travel to Europe for an extensive training and development program and manage a large territory with 50% travel
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
• Overtime may be required for sales management reporting activities and maintaining up to date and accurate customer files.
