Renaissance Personnel is recruiting a Quality Manager in the manufacturing industry for our client in Chatham
QUALITY MANAGER – Manufacturing
Salary: $55-65K - Direct Hire
Location: Chatham, ON
Shall be accountable for establishing and monitoring quality standards for the Company as it relates to the manufacturing process ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained within acceptable costs and ISO Standards
DUTIES:
BACKGROUND:
QUALITY MANAGER – Manufacturing
Salary: $55-65K - Direct Hire
Location: Chatham, ON
Shall be accountable for establishing and monitoring quality standards for the Company as it relates to the manufacturing process ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained within acceptable costs and ISO Standards
DUTIES:
- Quality audits and/or inspections
- Identifies Changes affecting Quality Management Systems
- Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the quality assurance department through his/her subordinates and support staff within the policies and procedures as established by the Company
- The incumbent shall be accountable for developing quality standards and implementing same. These standards shall become part of the Q.A manual and the incumbent shall ensure that the manual is updated and distributed to the respective departments.
- Co ordinates and conducts internal audits to verify the adherence to the quality management system
- Consults and liaisons with sales and product engineering relative to product design and feasibility.
- Daily interfaces with production personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as it relates to the manufacturing process and
- product manufactured.
- Consults and liaisons with customers to discuss concerns and make recommendations to improve customer satisfaction.
- With the assistance of the Human Resources department, the incumbent shall assist in the recruitment, selection and training of his/her staff to carry out the activities in the QA department
- Salaried Auditor/Inspector
- Maintain the necessary housekeeping and safety practices as indicated by company policy and legislation.
- In conjunction with the Human Resources departments, the incumbent shall deal with employee concerns as it applies to the collective agreement.
- Identify the processes to be improved and select the process which has the greatest impact on a competitive edge
- Fully knowledgeable in all QA Programs and has an established process to improve quality plant wide
BACKGROUND:
- Preference given to Quality or Manufacturing Engineers
- 3-5 years of Quality Management in Manufacturing (utilizing ISO Quality standards)
- Preference given to managers with an automotive parts manufacturing background
