JOB PROFILE: Reporting to the Manager Global Master Data Management, the Master Data Specialist will be responsible for the development, delivery and management of master data for the systems of one or more functional areas.  The Master Data Management (MDM) department is part of the Financial Shared Service Centre that falls within Nutreco Netherland BV. The Master Data Specialist is expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with Nutreco’s Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Responsible to implement and manage Master Data;
  • Execute data cleansing & data conversion;
  • Conduct validation tests on newly converted datasets;
  • Validate, edit, and track data quality for MDM data records, including Sales Tax/VAT coding;
  • Accountable to work with stakeholders in functional areas to define standard data formats and ensure change control processes are followed;
  • Ensure standards are maintained in the MDM application(s);
  • Deliver day-to-day support to Master Data Administrator(s);
  • Provide input for definition of Service Level Agreements to Manager Global Master Data Management;
  • Structure organization so that Service Levels are met;
  • Ensure that defined KPI levels related to the MDM application are met;
  • Occasionally required to work overtime to ensure requests are processed and during system implementations;
  • Occasional Travel (approx. 10%) – primarily during system implementations;
 
PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:
 
  • Post-secondary education, with a minimum 3 - 5 years Business experience;
  • Proven leadership experience;
  • Working knowledge of M3 (process thinking and able to translate to IT);
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Outlook, and an intermediate understanding of Access, and Excel;
  • Knowledge of EDI / EAI;
  • Knowledge of Sales Tax / VAT;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to effectively manage time & prioritize work;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and evolving work environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish considered an asset.
