Allen Professional Search invites Quality Engineers with excellent people skills that thrive in an environment of significant travel and intense customer interaction to submit their resumes for the position of Customer Quality Engineer. Our client, a heavy industry manufacturer, located in the Greater London Area, requires a talented individual to support their customer quality concerns. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary range of 60-65K plus benefits, mileage and expense allowances.

The successful incumbent will organize and manage containment activities at customer sites and quickly evaluate customer issues and respond to complaints in a proactive, timely manner. You will work with plant quality, production, engineering to define and help resolve customer issues and demonstrate proficient problem solving skills using the 8D problem solving process while showing familiarity with AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) core tools. This role requires the candidate to have the ability to travel up to 75% and on short notice. The primary focus will be on customers based in the USA and having a comprehensive understanding of the US market and business nuances, with exceptional people skills, will be a huge asset.

Requirements:

• Quality experience in an ISO/TS Manufacturing background is a must; quality certifications are a strong asset

• Knowledge of: low volume, heavy vehicle production, diesel engine design and operation an asset

• Experience with machining, assembly, casting, forging, heat treat processes

• Demonstrate an ability to maintain excellent customer relationships and be solution based with response process

• Experience with APQP documents & processes: Control Plans, FMEA, statistical analysis

• Blue Print Reading & GD&T experience

• Six sigma, lean manufacturing, visual management experience an asset

• Fluency in Italian is considered a strong asset

• Logistics knowledge/experience an asset
