 Full-Time Position:  Junior Software Developer & Support  (work from home)
 
CashierPRO, based out of Stratford, Ontario, is a leading provider of Point-of-Sale/Inventory Management systems, designed specifically for small-to-mid size Hardware, Home Improvement, Farm Supply and Building Supply dealers across North America.
 
Due to our strong and continued growth, we currently looking for a Junior Support & Software Developer to fill a FULL-TIME position.  You will possess the fortitude to work well on your own from a home-office (from anywhere in Southwestern Ontario), with likely one day a week, travel for meetings/training (so access to a vehicle).
 
CashierPRO is a small company, where employment roles are multi-faceted.  This position will include taking the time to learn the “in’s and out’s” of the CashierPRO application, by providing frontline support to our existing client base, as well as working on feature/functionality development requirements.
 

Required Qualifications and Experience
 

• Relevant Post-Secondary Education, ideally in Software Engineering, Computer Science – or relevant experience with Software Development
• .NET,  ASP.NET & JAVA knowledge would be an asset
• Progress OpenEdge experience would be a definite asset, but not critical
• Experience developing and interacting with Web Services & Hand-Held software deployment would also be an asset
• Any experience providing Customer Service would be beneficial

 

 Optional Qualifications

•  Knowledge of development for Mobile Devices (Unity or any specific Android/iOS/Windows Mobile experience)
• Experience interacting with SQL Databases. Knowledge of database modeling/-design and logic is a definite plus
• Experience with Web Technologies like HTML5, XHTML, Javascript, CSS etc
• Any design skills/experience (styling or graphical)
• SQL programming skills

 
Starting salary based on experience level.
