Hospitality Services consists of five distinct divisions - Campus Operations, Conference Services, Residence Dining, Great Hall Catering and Vending Services.  We have over 600 employees working in the various divisions.  We service over 23,000 customers per day in 20 campus operations providing our guests with a wide variety of options and choices including many of your favourite franchises.  We are currently seeking part-time food service helpers to join the Hospitality Services Team!
 
The Food Services Helper is responsible for serving food and beverages, food preparation (i.e. making sandwiches), accepting payment (i.e. cashier position), and cleaning and sanitizing.  The incumbents will be in a frontline position responsible for providing exceptional customer service, however additional duties could include restocking of product, and assisting in other areas (i.e. kitchen, dish-room).  In most cases the Food Service Helper is aiding a qualified Food Service Assistant in the completion of their duties.
 
Qualifications
Education:
-   Completion of Grade 9

Experience:
-   1 year of previous customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-   Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
-   Exceptional customer service skills, and takes satisfaction in keeping customers happy
-   Reputation for maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
-   Ability to provide a safe environment for our guests
-   Ability to perform physically demanding work (i.e. Standing for long periods of time, lifting arm to serve customers over counter) and physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 kg. 
-   Basic skills in oral and written communication
-   Natural inclination to respond courteously to instruction, questions and comments
-   Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with customers, peers and supervisors
-   Demonstrated dependability and cooperative nature
 
Hours of Work: Part-time hours, scheduled 24 hours or less per week.  Shifts may include evenings and weekends.  On-call shifts are also available.
