Quality Assurance Manager

The role
We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager (QA) who will be responsible for leading the company’s quality management system and improving strategic quality performance indicators. You will be conducting internal audits and data analysis reports to ensure that the company’s quality objectives are being met.
What you will focus on:
- Lead and manage a quality driven culture of continuous improvement by creatively increasing awareness of company’s quality policy and objectives among employees
- Fulfil QA Manager responsibilities stated in the AMO Maintenance Policy Manual including:
a. Quality Assurance
- Ensure policies, programs, plans, procedures and practices are carried out consistently and accurately. Audit work records and documentation for accuracy, conduct analysis of trends and to produce forecasts
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality system effectiveness
- Develop, implement and manage of all quality functions in accordance with TCCA CAR regulations and Company Maintenance Policy Manual
- Liaise between New United Goderich and Transport Canada
- Complete annual internal audits, spot audits and audits of in progress work
- Identify, investigate, and conduct root cause analysis and corrective action plan proposals, implementation, follow up and trending of Quality related discrepancies
- Establish and maintain timely collection and reporting system for HIR’s/CR’s
- Renew AMO approvals/certificates
- Update company quality processes and forms
- Conduct Semi-Annual review of CAR’s amendments
- Maintain listing of ACA’s, QA’s and QI’s authorized by the PRM
- Submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) to TCCA and other regulatory authorities
- Report to PRM & AE on the company’s Quality Assurance/Control Program
- Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned
What we are looking for:
- College diploma in a related field
- Certified Quality Auditor designation (CQA) preferred
- 7+ years of QA experience with a minimum of 3+ years of managerial experience
- Experience in Aerospace industry and working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations Strong working knowledge of QA auditing policies and processes.
- Trained in the performance of SMS including Incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans
- Effective communication and team building skills
