MOLDFITTER/MOLD MAKER

Responsibilities
- support production breakdowns and other mold related maintenance activities
- responsible for mold cleaning duties (abrasive blast, solvents, degreasing)
- complete mold PM's as per schedule (stoning, benching, spotting replacing components)
- engage in mold improvement projects with engineering
Skills
- licensed journeyperson with a minimum 4 years experience.
- experienced working on EPDM rubber & TPE plastic weather-strip molds for the automotive industry
- machinist, skilled in milling, lathe, drilling, tapping and grinding
- proficient in welding; TIG
- adept at use of hand tools; micrometers, callipers, depth gages & ultrasonic polishing machines
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- knowledge of mold cooling systems (water)
- good knowledge of injection presses and functions
