PRODUCT QUALITY TECHNICIAN – FULL TIME

We are currently looking for a full-time Product Quality Technician to join our Product Quality team.
This role will work closely with Distribution team along with the Product Management team to ensure that new StarTech.com products comply with relevant certifications and are manufactured to correct specifications.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Conducting random quality audits on all products including visual and functional inspections
· Assisting with Returned Product testing and reporting on defective products
· Working with our technical specialists to assist in resolving product quality issues
· Implementing product quality process improvements under the guidance of the Product Quality Supervisor and Vendor Manager
· Creating and managing accurate records related to product quality testing and resolution
The ideal candidate will have a post secondary diploma/degree in a Technology or Electronics related discipline. In addition, the qualified candidate will possess analytical skills, and will have the ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment. A passion for customer service and well developed communication skills are a must. This position will be required to liaise with various departments both at the Canadian corporate office as well as the US and UK Distribution facilities.
In addition the candidate will possess:
· Experience in MS Office including Excel and Outlook
· Some familiarity and experience with computer hardware products
· Ability to install and conduct tests on StarTech.com products (such as cables, I/O cards, data switches)
· Strong time management skills
· Have industry knowledge of quality processes, inspections and test procedures
· Strong attention to detail
