Job Description
Our client in the Cambridge area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for an Architectural Designer to join their team for a long term contract, with opportunity to become permanent.
In this role, responsibilities would include:
- Develop the building drawings/details using Autodesk Revit and AutoCad
- 3D BIM coordination in advanced level with all project stakeholders
- Communication with project managers and coordinator to develop the design per project specifications
- Project coordination
- Developing manuals as per drawings
- Developing bill of material (material quantification) based on the BIM models and drawings using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and Quantity Take Off
As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with Industrial/Architectural design and drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Substantial knowledge of developing building architectural details using AutoCAD and/or Revit is a must.
- Having knowledge and confidence to develop “Material Quantity take-off” quickly and accurately
- Post secondary education in architectural design
- Structural/mechanical background is preferable
- Being enthusiastic to learn new software and design methods and willing to share knowledge with the team
