This in turn has contributed to consistent growth, and now requires the recruitment of the following, to join our expanding team.

Tooling CAD Operator / Support

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent experience
• 2 to 3 years work experience with AutoCAD Inventor
• Knowledge in GD&T
• Experience in metal tooling, stamping and manufacturing processes
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the complete drawing system including product drawings, process drawings, tooling drawings, prints and be responsible for maintaining CAD related equipment
• Generate and maintain tooling, in-process and product drawings
• Assist in finalizing procedures for drawing file updates, maintenance and communication
• Maintain and update drawing files in compliance with TS16949 procedures
• Coordinate incorporation of design changes with tooling, quality and manufacturing
• Support tooling area as backup to purchasing crib through various activities, including but not limited to the stocking and distribution of tooling to eliminate outages
• Assist in the selection of tooling vendors and follow up on spare detail manufacturing
• Identify root cause and implement corrective action for die continuous improvements
