The YMCA of Western Ontario/Windsor & Essex County has partnered with Prime Management Group Inc. in the search effort of a dynamic General Manager to lead their innovative and new facility in Windsor. This unique position will report directly to the Vice-President of Operations.  The General Manager will be responsible for the exemplary leadership of all employees, volunteers, programs and services, while ensuring the YMCA of Western Ontario’s core values of; “respect, responsibility, honesty and caring” are represented in every member, participant, and community relationship. 
 
The General Manager will provide overall operational management and leadership for the Windsor & Essex County YMCA.  Key accountabilities include;  effective management and execution of the YMCA Windsor’s expansive member/community programs, accountability of budgetary and operational plans, guiding and supporting staff and volunteers through all philanthropic activities, member recruitment, retention, and engagement, and overall efficient and effective operations of the branch.
 
As the successful candidate, the General Manager will be expected to have a Degree/Diploma in business/marketing or a related field, coupled with 3-5 years of successful experience in an operational management position. The General Manager must have exceptional employee focused leadership experience with an understanding of general HR practices, membership program development and delivery, combined with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping others and a proven ability to liaise effectively with members, community partners and other key stakeholders. Previous employment/volunteer experience with the YMCA or a background in health and fitness management would be considered an asset.
