ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT, LUCASWORKS IS CURENTLY RECRUITING FOR AN ACCOUNTING CLERK TO JOIN A LEADING COMPANY IN WINDSOR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process vendor invoices for payment involving matching invoices with Purchase Orders and receiving slips
• Control posting of Accounts Payable to general ledger and correct any errors when necessary
• Regularly contact vendors to settle discrepancies in billings, receipt of goods, payments, etc.
• Reconcile major vendor statements
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare and input necessary adjustments after approval
• Add new/modify vendors; journal entries; electronic fund transfers, purchase orders into PeopleSoft software system
• Responsible for system-wide data entry to general ledger (other than accounts payable and receivable)
• Maintain general Accounts Receivable - set up invoices, allocate revenues, maintain Aged Report
• Receive payments and prepare deposits
• Maintain and set up spreadsheets to keep track of all general A/R
• Any other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2 Year Accounting Diploma
• Experience with PeopleSoft software system
• Minimum 3 years in practical Accounting Experience
• Strong computer skills
• Speed and accuracy of data entry is essential
• Team player/Customer service oriented
• Must be able to deliver high quality results
