Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Day shift -
Our client located in the Chatham area is in search of Electrical Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This position is essential to providing functional leadership and supervision to skilled trades employees including, but not limited to Industrial Electricians and Apprentice’s in a food manufacturing facility.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –
• Provide clear direction to skilled trades personnel and 3rd party contractors of scope of work, objectives and priorities.
• Ability to lead and mentor skilled trades including, Apprentices to transfer knowledge for succession planning and ensure successful task completion.
• Assist with troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, steam control/thermal processes.
• Assist with trouble shooting of motors, valves, generators, switchgears, transformers, regulators, relays, circuit breakers, controls, conveyors, pulley systems and other machinery.
• Assist with mechanical equipment including, but not limited to, lathes, drill press, grinders, pipe threader, cut off saw, welding torches, pneumatic/power actuated tools and hand tools, as required.
• Assist with the design and implementation of control panels, control systems and power distribution
Basic Requirements:
• Completion of Electrician Trade Certification
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an Electrician role and/or related field
• Solid understanding of PLC applications and problem solving, experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s is an asset.
Desired Skills:
• 3-5 years’ direct supervisory experience
• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Industrial Electrician Certificate
• Solid understanding of PLC applications and problem solving, experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s is an asset.
Compensation:
65-70K
paid overtime
