Our Client A Large Defense Manufacturer in North London Ontario is currently seeking Technical Illustrators to join their dynamic team in this exciting opportunity
Starting at $24/hr
Job Description:
• Create electronic illustrations to support a variety of technical (TP) i.e. operation, maintenance, and
parts catalogues
• Review and become familiar with the sections of the contract that specifically addresses TP illustration
development, including: military standards and departmental illustration styles guide specifications
• Liaison with writers and engineering groups collecting data required to complete the illustrations to
meet contractual requirements
• Electronically draw isometric views from blueprints using Adobe products
• Learn advanced modeling techniques using Unigraphics NX CAD products
• Media used for final illustration development will include B&W line art, CAD data, blueprints, and
photos
• Responsible for maintaining electronic file's in accordance with departmental requirements using CMS
(Content Management System)
Required Qualifications:
• 3 year College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
• 2 year technical illustration experience
• Knowledge of specifications and MIL-STDs.
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Strong engineering drawing reading skills
• proven working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• working knowledge of Unigraphics NX and or Pro “E”
• Proficiency with Windows XP network environment
