Job Description
Our client located in Windsor, Ontario is in search of a Mechanical Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. This position will consist of a combination of Design activities of Powertrain Engineering systems and IT support ( CAD/PDM Administration and Support)
The successful candidate is accountable for:
• Mechanical Designer in Powertrain group when not assigned to CAD/PDM Support
• Inventor, AutoCAD and Vault technical administration – first line of support for all users
• CAD administration (content center, iParts/iAssemblies, templates, symbols, material libraries, etc.)
• Customer deliverable technology support (customer templates, automation, validation)
• Authoring, monitoring and enforcing standard procedures, best practices and common structure
• Training new and existing Team Members in Inventor and Vault procedures and features Vault
• BOM management with SAP integration
• Engineering change order (ECO) process
The successful candidate must possess:
• University/College degree/diploma in Engineering field
• Experience with CAD Design for Manufacturing
• Experience in Automotive Assembly systems
• Experience and usage of PDM systems
• Autodesk products knowledge (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, etc)
