Role: Dance instructor – various YMCA branches:
Bob Hayward
Centre Branch
Stoney Creek
St. Thomas
Contract Dates: September - December 2017
Job Summary:
The YMCA of Western Ontario requires instructors to deliver dance classes to children ages 3-10. Instructors will also be responsible for planning a routine for their class to perform at a culminating dance recital at the completion of the 12-week program. This is an excellent opportunity for those that have experience both in dance as well as working with children and youth.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must enjoy working with children and youth.
-Must have experience in dance.
-Qualified candidates must possess a passion for learning through play.
-Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
-Clear Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons Screening

Responsibilities:
-Maintaining a safe, fun environment for all participants
-Delivering dance activities and lessons
-Planning and teaching a dance routine
-Leading, guiding and/or coordinating schedules with other Instructors
-Set-up, maintenance and tear-down of program equipment
-Physical demands include: walking, running, standing, demonstrating dance drills, carrying gear, pushing and/or pulling.
Wage: $20/hour to $25/hour depending on experience
