Job Description
Our Windsor based manufacturing client is experiencing continued growth and is recruiting for an Human Resources Manager to join their team. This newly created position would be a good fit for a Senior Generalist or a current Manager looking for a new challenge. A summary of responsibilities are listed below:

Responsibilities:
- Perform personnel management functions relating to recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, compensation, career development, and termination, or retirement.
- Develop personnel policies and communicate with corporate office regarding policies and overall direction.
- Develop, oversee, and coordinate Health and Safety programs to achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable laws.
- Maintain and update personnel policy manuals and employee handbooks, as necessary.
- Labour Relations: collective agreement interpretation; developing and maintaining relationships with union reps; participate in and lead dispute resolutions
- Use communication skills and organizational abilities to conduct recruiting and employee testing programs.
- Collect ongoing data regarding employee satisfaction.
- Conduct new employee orientation and other training and educational programs.
- Promote positive employee relations and monitor the work environment
- Administer and keep compensation and benefits packages up-to-date.
- Maintain employees' personnel files, conduct exit interviews.
- Receive employee complaints and act to resolve them.
- Keep informed of current laws and regulations regarding employers' and employees' rights and obligations.
- Update management with respect to changes to legislation
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of HR experience with strong knowledge and capabilities of the following: employee relations and performance, recruitment and selection, health and safety, benefit administration, compensation, training and development.
- Union experience is a must have.
- Undergraduate degree with CHRP designation.
- Manufacturing experience (automotive background an asset).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
