On behalf of our client in London, we are currently recruiting for a Vetronic Systems.   The position requires an individual who can demonstrate the ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast paced environment.

 

Job duties and responsibilities:

 

Generate, design, prove and integrate innovative ideas to further the capability of the

   electrical/electronic architecture of the LAV

• Develop embedded software in accordance with industry standards, departmental and organizational process and procedures.
• Develop graphical Human-Machine Interfaces, working closely with Human Factors Engineering.

• Design and integrate network architectures using CAN, Mil-CAN, and Ethernet.
• Conduct hardware and software testing to verify concepts, and progress viable designs to a production-ready / TRL7 level.
• Define and document software and hardware requirements based on internal and external customer needs.
• Document designs with detailed requirements documentation, specifications, system functional descriptions, block diagrams, schematic diagrams, UML diagrams, ICDs, test plans, and technical reports.
• Participate in peer reviews and design reviews


Required Qualifications
• University Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a comparable discipline - ie: Computer Engineering)
• Experience with embedded system software development (C, C++), electronic hardware design, microcontrollers and processors (x86, PowerPC, Freescale).
• Experience with software development tools such as NI LabVIEW and Measurement Studio, MS Visual Studio, and CodeWarrior Development Studio.
• Experience with data networks: SAE J1939, USB, RS485, Ethernet
• Exceptional test and troubleshooting skills.
• Highly motivated for personal and team success.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
