Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for our fast growing client, a large production facility in Windsor, ON.  The main role of the Supply Chain Manager will be to manage and direct the daily activities of the procurement, warehouse and logistics staff and oversee the purchasing, procurement and buying for a large scale production facility.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Oversee and manage the procurement, warehouse and logistics staff
• Ensure that all material required for production is secured ensuring nonstop production capability
• Develop and implement a strategic plan and cost saving initiatives
• Negotiate and source new vendors as needed
• Review all existing contract and suppliers – renegotiate as required
• Develop and implement a strategic plan through review and analysis of current data regarding purchasing, logistics and warehouse inventory
• Allocate and organize staff within division – and monitor KPI’s and goals of all team members
• Communicate and contribute to all managers and senior executive meetings and ensure the efficiency of the division
• Ability to attend evening meetings as required with overseas vendors and affiliates
• Review and manage the budget and ensure cost saving methods are being adhered to
• Manage and attend to any concern or issues within the procurement, purchasing and warehouse division
• Assist with the performance and management of employees and assist with training as required
• All other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:
 

• 7- 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or similar role in a production facility
• Post Graduate Degree in related field
• PCMP, PMAC or other relatable certificate preferred
• Member of SCMA an asset
• Knowledge of domestic and international procurement and delivery
• Proven experience managing a team within a production facility
• Knowledge of strategic planning, budget management
• Strong ability to negotiate and source vendors
