Job Description
Our customer in Southwestern Ontario is currently seeking a junior CAE Engineer. Must be open to possible relocation and or extensive travel.
Responsible for generation of finite element model databases, analysis of models, and component design.
Knowledge in areas of engineering, materials, stamping and forming analysis, and assembly practices.
Good working knowledge of FEA pre/post processor and FEA analysis code is required (HyperWorks). Working knowledge of multi-step Forming simulation using LS-DYNA analysis code is required. Additional skills in the area of program management, task coordination, reporting and customer interaction is required. Requires ability to complete assigned projects with a minimum of direct supervision.
Major Activities:
• Create finite element model databases
• Analysis of models (linear & non-linear , modal, transient response, etc.)
• Component and assembly design.
• Fatigue life analysis of components and assemblies
• Interpret CAD data, RFQ’s and other customer documents pertaining to projects
• Interact with customer
• Prepare Analysis reports & Analysis portion of Technical Reviews
• Communicate & interact with internal Business Unit team
• Maintain Departmental analysis records

• Multi-Step Forming Analysis Skills
• Understanding of Proper modeling considerations for analysis being performed
• Understanding of analysis limitations
• The ability to manage multiple projects & multi-task
• Flexibility (Ability to “see” how to achieve what is required within given constraints)
• Understanding of Customer requirements
• Excellent Planning, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete assigned projects with a minimum of direct supervision
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education/Experience:
• M.S. degree in Engineering Industrial experience with FEA pre/post processor and FEA analysis code or B.S. in Engineering and Industrial experience with FEA pre/post processor and FEA analysis code and high school drafting or CAD and/or basic Knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD system.
