Mechanical Engineering, Auxiliary Systems
Our client, a large defense manufacturer in LONDON, ONTARIO is looking for a Mechanical Engineering, Auxiliary Systems associate to join their team.
Required Qualifications
• University degree or College Diploma in mechanical engineering discipline
• Min. 2 years directly related work experience with mechanical automotive systems specifically Hydraulic, HVAC, Powerpack, Air cleaner, Exhaust
• High analytical skills to solve problems at component, subsystem, and system/vehicle level
• Experienced with mechanical drawings, bills of material, engineering release procedures
• Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Job Responsibilities
• Mechanical design engineering of systems to meet customer requirements and specification
• Develop and maintain Technical Data Packages (TDP), prepare and present formal Design Review
• Follow established procedures
• Investigate, respond, and implement corrective action to Production, supplier or field issues
• Support prototype builds, create test plans, execute tests and create test reports to validate designs, mitigate risks and/or troubleshoot problems
• Plan, organize, and maintain records of progression to ensure successful completion of projects on schedule and within budget
• Manipulation of CAD models using CAD image manipulation software
• Create detailed bids and project plans in response to customer and contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Computer aided engineering (CAD, FEA, Simulation )
• Hands-on practical experience in engineering for automotive mechanical systems
• Experience in design and manufacture of on or off road vehicles or equipment
