Our client, an established, world leading recycled plastics company focused on making a positive environmental impact, is seeking a resilient, driven Business Development Specialist to join their winning team in a “work-from-home” format.

Reporting to the Director of Global Sales, your role as Business Development Specialist will include developing new business for the company’s specialized products and services with North American brand owners and manufacturers. While developing an annual business plan with the sales team, you will be responsible for tracking monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales and develop action plans to increase long term sales growth. Collaborating with the sales team and R&D, you will stay up to date with the industry in order to effectively quote new business from initial concepts through to the start of production. Your relationship building skills will also be important to leverage and manage local indirect assets – reps, agents, distributors.

To qualify, you will have:

• A post-secondary education in Business and/or a Technical field
• Minimum 5 years of solution-based sales experience in Plastics
• Must have thermoplastic resins experience
• Preference for solution-based sales experience
• A strong aptitude in prospecting and closing new business with a long sales cycle
• An ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Good listening and observation skills as well as excellent mechanical sense
• Effective communication
• A team-player mentality

$80K-$90K plus commission incentives
