Cost Accountant – Auto Manufacturing

Accountabilities:
- Inventory Control review/audit of inventory systems (bills of material, data collection, scrap, obsolescence)
- Maintain standard cost system
- Complete semi-annual physical count reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with perpetual cycle count procedures
- Material variance analysis (including steel and component pricing issues)
- Assist manager with Mapics development and reporting
- Intercompany Transaction Reporting
- Maintain interco sales/purchases system with multiple locations
- Complete interco account reconciliations
- Month-end Reporting
- Preparation of various journal vouchers
- Completion of various internal and external analysis/reporting requirements
- Assist manager in preparation of monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
- Fixed Asset Administration
- Maintain Sage Fixed Asset database system, including generation of required reports
- HST monthly reporting and reconciliation
- Revenue Canada statistical reporting
- WSIB monthly remittance and reconciliation
- Completion of various weekly and monthly analysis/reporting requirements as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma with a concentration in Finance or accounting
- Designation preferred
- Require 3 to 5 years in accounting with emphasis on financial analysis
- Self-motivated
- Strong oral and written communication skills
