Our client, a well-known world-class supplier partner that specializes in manufacturing safety and performance systems for the automotive industry, is searching for a General Manager. This position is based in Windsor, ON.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to stretch and challenge staff to deliver results & strengthen relationships within the team, functional units, and customers. Manages day to day operations of the organization. Represents the organization’s mission, vision and values.
• Chairing weekly management meetings with clear agendas and priorities. Communicates company initiatives and pursues best practices.
• Providing support to sales as needed; review and authorize quotes for business equipment
• Developing and maintenance of Annual Business Plan in conjunction with the management team (LTBP and SWOT)
• Effectively utilizes KPIs, performance reviews, financial statements, and operational reports to track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations.
• Presenting monthly KPI’s to Senior Corporate Team
• Quality management and on-site review of manufactured products. Ensures quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
• Leads team in strategic planning, progress plans, business development activities and identifying competitive landscape & sales intelligence.
• Gives direction and provides oversight for all areas of production.
• Identify resource needs with significant influence on approval of identified needs. Troubleshoots and resolves most complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.
• Take a collaborative role, with the Sales team, in identifying and developing new business opportunities and core areas for growth.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information received from the customer/company.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

• University or College Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
• 10+ years of management experience; previous experience as a General Manager would be considered an asset
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel as required (Domestic and International Travel)

Complimentary Experience:

• Experience with plastic injection molds would be considered a strong asset
