Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a leading manufacturing facility in the Windsor Area. The Quality Manager with be responsible for liaising with customers regarding quality, delivery, service issues, and concerns.
Located in South Western Ontario on the Canada/US border, across from Detroit Michigan, bordered by the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, Windsor and Essex County is a vibrant geographical area. Being Canada’s southernmost point, the region boasts the warmest climate in all of Ontario.
The City of Windsor is comprised of residential, industrial, commercial, institutional, and rural areas along with a vibrant multicultural society with a growing population of 216,000. The County of Essex consists of seven municipalities with a population of 166,000.
The City/County offers a range of resources in the areas of arts and entertainment, culture and heritage, gaming and nightlife, outdoor experiences, sports tourism, and wineries and agritourism. (http://www.visitwindsoressex.com/)
Responsibilities:
· Establish, maintain and improve quality systems
· Act as the Quality representative for the ISO/TS systems
· Lead continuous improvements
· APQP/New program support and lead
· Monitor Supplier performance by tracking on-going deliverable and monthly scorecards
· Lead the implementation of plant wide 5s Visual management system
· Schedule, conduct and follow up on internal audits
· Hands on problem solving skills
Qualifications:
· 3 + years of experience in Quality Assurance and dealing with TS and ISO quality systems
· Post-Secondary experience in Technical field
· Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong Leadership skills
· ASQ certification preferred
· GD&T knowledge preferred
