POSITION:                           MSc/CEMS Program Officer

REPORTS TO:                    MSc/CEMS Faculty Director
          MBA/MSc Program Services Director
  
 
Primary Objective of the Position:
The MSc/CEMS Program Officer is the primary contact for the MSc program managing all aspects of the student experience ensuring a strong and positive student experience while in the program. 
 
This role is responsible for ensuring effective program administration, strong relationships with internal stakeholders (faculty and staff), collaborative partnerships with Ivey/Western departments and ensuring a highly successful student experience while in the MSc program.  The role directs the various phases of the student life cycle: entry into the program, administration of the program in consultation with the MSc/CEMS Faculty Director and MBA/MSc Program Services Director, faculty, staff and student relations, progression and successful completion of the program with all related elements of program policies and procedures.  In addition, this role manages strong relationships with various external stakeholders (international exchange partner schools and CEMS), Western University stakeholders, and acts as a key liaison to the Ivey community for the MSc program.
 
The MSc/CEMS Program Officer, under the direction of the MSc Faculty Director, will support the development of a strategic business plan, and is responsible for the execution of project plans for the implementation of program strategies.
 
Key Results Areas:
 
Program Services:
  1. Be a champion for the student experience with faculty, Career Management, other University groups and the School’s leadership, ensuring a smooth transition of new students to the Ivey MSc program each intake.
  2. Contribute to a successful and rewarding experience for students through each student’s interaction at every stage of recruiting, admission, and attendance in the program.
  3. Support the Faculty Director in the daily management of the program.
  4. Maintain integrity and build new initiatives around program experience as well administration processes to ensure smooth execution of the MSc program.
  5. Seek creative solutions that manage growth and enhance program administration and experience.
  6. Establish, negotiate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective international
    partner schools (exchange partners, CEMS partners, CEMS main office).
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to the MSc program (Faculty Director, faculty, students, staff, Ivey and University departments, Exchange Partners, corporate partners and CEMS) assisting in their success and positive contribution to the program experience.
     
     
    Recruitment and Admissions:
  8. Contribute to the MSc admissions process – application process, score-carding, interview process, MSc Admissions Committee and selection of candidates, yield management initiatives.
  9. Responsible for all incoming student communication and program transition.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  10. An undergraduate University Degree
  11. Experience working with international students and exchange programs is considered an asset.

    This is a one year contract.
