Job Description
Driver Recruiter – Windsor
Hiring a Driver Recruiter for our Windsor office to start immediately as we grow our operation and team!
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring qualified Driver applicants to meet our hiring needs for current and future job openings and support with other hiring initiatives as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Source, interview and screen drivers to fill existing openings while maintaining current knowledge of transportation legislation and company policies
Recruitment of company drivers and owner operators/brokers
Post and manage job openings on various recruiting sites including internal job site.
Participate in job fairs and open houses as required to meet recruiting needs.
Follow up on various recruiting leads, handle incoming calls regarding openings and postings and screen various applicants to move forward in the hiring process
Conduct hiring orientations and training sessions for company drivers and brokers.
Coordinate road testing, pre-employment drug testing, and complete referencing on all new hires
Responsible for file management of driver files (compliance) and updating status notes in Link system
Partnering with London and Brownstown markets to support those markets with hiring needs and driver leads.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience- full cycle hiring – hiring of drivers (knowledge of HOS, CVOR) is an asset to the position
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work load
Effective interpersonal communication skills – both oral and written
Interviewing skills to include the ability to listen and analyze answers
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Travel will be required for this position as we hire in several SW Ontario markets including GTA, Windsor and Michigan
Valid Passport and ability to cross the border is required.
