Unqualified occasional teachers are offered work on an ‘as needed’ basis in our secondary schools, on short notice, when permanent teachers are absent from work. Successful candidates will only be offered work when no qualified occasional teachers are available. It is our expectation that unqualified occasional teachers will have regular availability to accept assignments in some or all Grand Erie secondary schools. The Board spans a geographic area encompassing the City of Brantford and the Counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk.
Interested applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree and are currently working towards a Bachelor of Education degree. Applications should include a cover letter, a complete resume of experience, and the names of three professional references that can be contacted.
Daily rate of pay approximately $213.68 per day + vacation pay.
Effective Date: as soon as can be mutually arranged to June 30, 2023 for a maximum of 10 days.
