Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for a Controls Engineer in Detroit, MI for a supplier to the automotive industry.  The Controls Engineer will be responsible for providing support to manufacturing while optimizing new and existing web handling production processes.

 Responsibilities:

• Working with alternative fuel, bi-fuel and hybrid powertrain controls
• Creating and maintaining required documents
• Conducting and participating in design and architecture reviews
• Supporting software, firmware and hardware design and development activities
• Developing, integrating, testing, releasing and maintaining high quality software

 Qualifications:

• University Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in developing embedded firmware and application software using C and Mathworks
• Experience working with automotive micro-controllers and FPGAs
• Previous experience generating autocode utilizing Embedded Coder or Targetlink
• Experience leading / supporting test and integration activities on HILO, DYNO and vehicle
