Our Windsor based client is recruiting for a Fixture Designer to join their team.  This is a great opportunity to join a solid professional work environment that emphasizes a collaborative approach to problem solving.  Company has purchased a new facility and is in growth mode.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design Checking Fixtures, Gauges, and other custom tooling as required for in process parts, and complete assemblies.
• Review customer specifications for feasibility.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure suitability.
• Actively participate in team meetings from concept through launch of new product.
• Uses problem-solving methods to find solutions to complex design, manufacturing and assembly problems and issues.
• Able to analyze and research customer design proposals, manuals, specifications.
• Coordinate, schedule and manage design development and execution.
• Manage the project development effort to ensure that customer objectives are achieved.
• Manage multiple projects.
• Maintain documentation on all work orders.

Qualifications:

• Solidworks and Cad Key experience.
• Experience with both checking and holding fixture design.
• Have a good understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Must have good understanding of fixture design and parts (reamed and clearance holes).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team Player.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.
