MANUCTURING ENGINEER

Are you a results oriented individual who excels at manufacturing engineering 
project management and continuous improvement?

Starlim North America is a global leader in the manufacturing of silicone parts specializing in custom Liquid Silicone Rubber moulding for health care and automotive industries. 

Located in London since 2004, our Austrian mother company has been expanding world-wide since 1974.  Our proprietary, fully automated, world-class technologies and high quality products, combined with creative, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing technologies allow us to deliver high quality products.
 
We require an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for:

1. Engineering Project management of new tooling and machinery … typically built in Austria, transferred to and maintained in North America.
  • Assist RD manager and colleagues on customer specification interpretation
  • Liaison with Starlim North America and AustriaProduct Design and Development Engineering and provide design input
  • Complete Engineering based activities with customers’ engineering departments and launch teams
  • Facilitate shareholder communication meetings
  • Provide customer support
  • Develop, execute, and monitor the production APQP process
  • Obtain supplier quotes
2. Manufacturing Continuous Improvement projects
  • Sustaining Engineering and process optimization
  • Support 8D process for design related issues
  • Ensure knowledge transfer between shareholders

3. Development of functional testing, validation and resolution of quality issues

 Do you have?
  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering university degree/ diploma
  • 3 years mechanical manufacturing engineering experience in Tier 1 or 2 automotive
  • LSR or Thermoplastic Injection Molding product launch experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • Excellent MS Project,MS Office, and CAD software skills
Successful candidate will also:
  • Understand LSR / Plastic Material properties and mold design
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of SQE tools (8D, FMEA, DFMEA, DOE, APQP, DVP&R, DFMA etc.).
  • Possess a valid passport and ability to travel throughout North America and Europe on a regular basis
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Reading/writing German an asset
