Manufacturing Process Engineering
Our client, a large defense manufacturer in LONDON, ONTARIO is looking for Manufacturing Engineering Grads that have completed a co-op from Fanshawe for a Manufacturing Process Engineer role for a 12 month contract to start
$23-26hr
Required Qualifications
• Manufacturing Eng. Diploma (or Mechanical Eng, Weld Eng,Electro/Mechanical - (all Technician/Technologist or Engineer)
• experience in heavy equipment manufacturing
• years experience in development of work instructions
Preferred Qualifications
• TeamCenter
Job Responsibilities
• Articulate output of Development Lead into detailed work instructions for both outside service providers and production shop floor
• Develop and validate detailed work instructions to meet manufacturing process requirements
• Participate in Design Review meetings to interpret design requirements for work process instructions
• Investigates and resolves deviations that occur on the production floor including root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions
• Implements corrective actions in conjunction with the appropriate enabling groups (for example: Manufacturing Quality Engineers, Environmental Health & Safety)
• Develop Manufacturing Bill of Materials for new product including break in point for any new materials
• Create Oracle Routings
• Update Team Centre
• Create detailed work instructions for Engineering Change Orders
• Execute Appurtenance Change Notices into detailed work instructions
• Complete work analysis through use of standard hours calculator and develop/update detailed work instructions
• Provide robot support through modification of existing programs
• Participate in Manufacturing Validation Build (first unit in new vehicle build); identify changes required in detailed work instructions and re-issue
Due to the nature of the position, successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, including, but not limited to, the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance to secret level.
