SCHOOL SUPPORT COUNSELLOR

TEMPORARY POSITION(S)

The School Support Counsellor will provide school-based prevention and intervention services in Elementary or Secondary schools to address social/emotional and behavioural barriers to learning. Incumbents will be assigned to a caseload at the Elementary, Secondary, or alternative school level.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Four-year university degree in social work, child studies, or psychology. A minimum of one year of experience providing counselling services to families and children or adolescents.

RATE OF PAY:     $34.07 per hour plus 4% vacation pay (positions to extend no later than June 30, 2018)

START DATE:      September 5, 2017
