As a leading global supplier of precision instruments and services to many applications and numerous industries in Ontario, our client is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team of dedicated specialists serving customers in many countries worldwide. The Field Service Technician troubleshoots and repairs industry related products, performs calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as scheduled, and is responsible for resolving first line customer service issues and accurate completion of documentation and related service reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoots and repairs all products
• Performs system and equipment installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as required
• Ensures customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned accounts are completed on time
• Completes system configuration and testing prior to delivery
• Reviews and signs off on completed projects
• Provides technical solutions consultant and application support to the customer and the sales force, to include technical review of sales orders
• Interfaces with sales employees to meet customer requirements, including performing joint sales calls
• Assists in efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convert customer existing equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 year college diploma in Engineering/Electronics/Instrumentation Technology and/or Computer Science College/University degree.
• Experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting, or technical installation in the industrial electronics technology marketplace
• Advanced computer skills and experience required

Hourly rate: $30-$34
