Job Description

Our client in Southwestern Ontario is looking for a Human Resources Generalist with minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience in healthcare.  This role will support the senior leadership team by consulting on legal compliance and best practices for recruitment, retention and succession planning.  The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR for a team of approximately 50. As an accredited organization other responsibilities include development and maintenance of accreditation and organizational policies and procedures, monthly HR reports and participation in organizational community events.

REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in Human Resources or Business preferred (Advanced Diploma in HR will also be considered) 
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience as an HR Coordinator or Generalist
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • Experience in health services preferred
  • Priority will be given to individuals with / or working towards their CHRP

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have the drive and leadership to see all projects to completion
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize work to meet changing needs
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations as well as managing projects and chairing committee meetings

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct HR audits and present recommendations to senior management
  • Meet with employees to establish HR priorities for retention and succession planning
  • Work with team to create / maintain recruitment plan
  • Maintenance of job descriptions, testing and interviewing requirements
  • Maintenance and delivery of orientation & ongoing training programs
  • Coordination of benefit programs; advising senior leadership of any recommended changes to the programs
  • Supporting leadership with performance management best practices
